The Cheerio Effect

I was given the natural system of igneous rock formations and the program elements of a museum for this design. Instead of choosing molten lava spews, I incorporated orbicular granite in my design. This rare form of rock is made when granite forms concentric rings around particulate matter. These orbs then clump together within the molten rock via the Cheerio Effect. This effect states that within a liquid, solid objects will congregate together. My design utilizes this phenomenon to maximize program efficiency. I also hid the museum somewhat underground to emphasize the protruding orbs.
