Ballerina Bench
For my furniture studio, I decided to make a bench that would go with my grandmother's solid red oak table from the 1900's. The bench is a compliment to the existing table: while the table is stocky, while the bench is delicate. Though the table is red oak, the bench was carved from white oak so the colors don't compete. An inlay of mahogany in the bench's legs and underside of the seating surface pay homage back to the original red table.
***The bench is currently being fabricated and will be done in March. Check back for updates!
