Dream Boat
In this design, Katie Woods, Marc Whitley and I fabricated a chapel, who's iridescent walls evoke daydreaming. The process involved thermoforming Corian, commonly used for countertops, then applying an iridescent film onto PETG. The prefabricated chapel was brought to the Georgia Tech campus where the only on-site assembly was the attachment of walls to base. Our design was selected from over 400 works to be featured as part of the Art on the Beltline movement, and was by Old Fourth Ward Park from July to November 2014.
